Featherstone Pottery

Located in Featherstone township just a few miles outside of Red Wing, MN. This farm brings a European old wood firing pottery process to the rural Southeast Minnesota river valley.  Dating back to 1858, the tradition of carefully created pottery pieces remind us of the need to cherish a form of art that was not only functional but told a story.

Join us annually for the 3 day long firing process. Holding on to a family tradition and connecting with local artisans from around the state, the team of dedicated individuals carefully place each piece in the wood kiln and stoke the fire for days.

Local participants vary from year to year.
