Red Wing Shoe Museum. Highly recommended. The Red Wing Shoe Flagship Store & Museum offers a free self-guided museum, a photo op with the World’s Largest Boot, a factory outlet and full service shoe sizing. Fun Fact: The Red Wing Shoe Co purchased the historic St James hotel in 1977 and continues to work hard renovating the boutique hotel with luxury amenities. The two properties are just a short block away from each other.
Lunch in Downtown Red Wing wander off a block from the St James Hotel to find a casual spot to pick up some baked goods before departing the area. Hanisch Bakery & Coffee Shop, Bev’s Cafe or Mandy’s Coffee & Cafe offer sweet treats, sandwiches, soups and of course, coffee.
