Ride the Rails to Red Wing for the Hispanic Heritage Festival

Held from 12:00–6:00 p.m. at Central Park in downtown Red Wing, the annual festival is hosted by Hispanic Outreach of Goodhue County and celebrates the rich and diverse cultures of Hispanic countries. Visitors can enjoy live music, dancing, food vendors, craft and clothing vendors, drinks and more throughout the afternoon.

Visitors from Minneapolis, St. Paul and the surrounding metro area can begin their getaway at historic Union Depot in downtown St. Paul. Hop aboard Amtrak and settle in for a relaxing ride toward Red Wing, trading interstate traffic for views of the Mississippi River Valley.
Amtrak’s Borealis provides daily service between St. Paul and Chicago, with a convenient stop right in downtown Red Wing. With the current schedule bringing travelers into Red Wing around 12:30 p.m., you’ll arrive just as the festival gets underway. Be sure to check current Amtrak schedules when planning your trip.
Once you arrive, leave the driving behind! Passengers arriving by Amtrak can also take advantage of the Red Wing Trolley that day, offering another fun and convenient way to experience the city and make your way between local destinations.
Or, stretch your legs and start exploring on foot. Step off the train at Red Wing’s historic Depot and enjoy a short walk through downtown to Central Park, where the Hispanic Heritage Festival will be in full swing.
