A combination diary/sketchbook/scrapbook – a visual journal can be anything you want it to be! Most importantly, an art or visual journal is about allowing yourself to be creative and expressing yourself without having to be “perfect”. Anything is allowed – drawing, painting, printing, collaging, stamping, tracing, stickers… You get to choose!
We will spend a little time discussing the pros and cons of different types of sketchbooks and some helpful tips and prompts to begin a journaling habit. For the majority of the class, we will explore various materials and techniques to create “starter” pages that can be added to at a later date.
