Samuel Verdega (US MARINES – VIETNAM VET) Bruce Richardson (US ARMY – VIETNAM VET) and Major John Donovan (IRAQ VET) are absolutely, terrific gentlemen that the Fabulous Armadillos have gotten to know very well over the last few years. They bring their stories and real-life testimony to every show, and it is just as powerful as the first time you hear the story as the last.
It is an amazingly moving production that takes you on a deep dive into the music of the era, but also into the lives of the men and women involved in the Vietnam war overseas and at home. Through live narration from Veterans of the Vietnam war, video and live music, you will better understand the role music played during that time. Music supplied motivation for our brave men and women in uniform and also for the anti-war movement at home. We walk that line and it is our hope this show becomes healing for all to see and hear.
