Voices of the Valley | Cannon Valley Trail
Jul 13, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
On Saturday, July 13, come to the Welch Access Station of the Cannon Valley Trail for Voices of the Valley! Grab pie samples from Stockholm Pie’s Pie Plate Cafe & Coffee to enjoy while you listen to music from InTandem and learn from the Red Wing Park Naturalists.
InTandem, consisting of Brenda Owens and Lee Mensinger, will be on hand to perform for visitors and riders. An acoustic duo from the Cannon Valley performing a variety of folk, blues, roots, and Americana standards with vocal harmonies on guitars, mandolin, banjo, and baritone uke. Since getting together they have performed on the bike trail in Welch, at the Red Wing Art Fair, the Brick House, Hobgoblin, and Sargent’s Nursery in Red Wing, and at Ferndale Market and the Cannon River Winery in Cannon Falls.
The Red Wing Park Naturalist program was started to help the community make personal connections to our beautiful natural spaces. It is their goal to help people discover a new trail, a new park, or simply a special place in town and help them to learn something new about that place along the way. Come meet Davyd while exploring mystery boxes, scavenger hunts, trail maps, and plant and bird information. Information on the Park Naturalist program and upcoming events will be available.
Voices of the Valley is an interpretive program planned to assist a visitor’s exploration and understanding of the Cannon River Valley. For more information on the Cannon Valley Trail, visit our website www.cannonvalleytrail.com.
