Voices of the Valley | Cannon Valley Trail

On Saturday, June 15, come to the Welch Access Station of the Cannon Valley Trail for Voices of the Valley! Get your photo with the #OnlyinMN Monument! The 40 foot long monument offers a great opportunity for photos as well as celebrating tourism in Minnesota. It will be available for viewing through June 21. After taking your photo, enjoy some pie samples from Stockholm Pie’s Pie Plate Café & Coffee.
InTandem, consisting of Brenda Owens and Lee Mensinger, will be on hand to perform for visitors and riders. An acoustic duo from the Cannon Valley performing a variety of folk, blues, roots, and Americana standards with vocal harmonies on guitars, mandolin, banjo, and baritone uke. Since getting together they have performed on the bike trail in Welch, at the Red Wing Art Fair, the Brick House, Hobgoblin, and Sargent’s Nursery in Red Wing, and at Ferndale Market and the Cannon River Winery in Cannon Falls.
Voices of the Valley is an interpretive program planned to assist a visitor’s exploration and understanding of the Cannon River Valley.
These events are held at the Welch Station access,a beautiful spot located 9.6 miles on the trail from Cannon Falls and very near to Welch.

Local musicians enjoy sharing their talents with you, sit and listen a while. Refreshments are donated by area businesses.
Everyone is invited to these events, not just bikers. Please note throughout the season some Voices of the Valley programs may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
