Phoenix Theatre: Inspecting Carol by Daniel Sullivan at Sheldon Theatre

God help us, everyone! Behind the scenes at a financially strapped local theatre, the annual cashcow production of A Christmas Carol is a wreck. Tiny Tim gets a better offer, Scrooge is a social-activist making questionable changes to the script, and the National Endowment for the Arts inspector is due any minute. It’s “sheer comic genius” according to Journal American and The Seattle Times calls it “A Dickens of a giggle.” It’s a perfect farcical send-up of theater and the holidays, where everything goes delightfully wrong.
