In part one of this two part class, we will make the body of our owl using red low-fire clay and handbuilding techniques. In part two of this class, we will carve textured feathers into our owl sculpture and add colored slip and underglazes to add detail. Participants must attend both classes to complete their project. Our sculptures will be fired in the kiln and ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks.
