Coil Building Ceramics Class at the Pottery Museum of Red Wing

Coil building is an age-old technique for making a myriad of different pieces of pottery and clay-based artwork. Through this process, you’ll learn the techniques for making pottery pieces out of long ropes of clay. You’ll make two pieces approximately 12″ to 18″ each. After class, your pieces will be glazed and fired and ready for pick up at the museum. All levels of ability are welcome, including beginners. RICHARD SPILLER is currently the resident potter at the Pottery Museum of Red Wing. Class will be held at the Pottery Museum of RW, 240 Harrison St., Red Wing. Cost is $39.
