Bluffs & Brews: Snowshoe the Cannon Bottoms | Goodhue County Historical Society

The Goodhue County Historical Society and the Red Wing Environmental Learning Center are thrilled to take you on a winter Bluffs & Brews adventure! Bluffs & Brews is an adult program series designed to connect Goodhue County residents to natural and cultural history through outdoor excursions. Join us for this a one-of-a-kind program that blends local history, outdoor adventure, and a happy hour into one fantastic afternoon.
On Saturday, February 15, the Historical Society and Environmental Learning Center invite you to explore the Cannon River Bottoms by snowshoe The event begins at 2 PM and all participants will meet at the Environmental Learning Center in Red Wing. Participants will learn about the Mendota-Wabasha Military Road that traversed the area prior to heading out for the adventure. Staff from the partner organizations will then lead the group through the Bottoms to explore its natural scenery. Afterwards, the group will meet up at local Restaurant for a social hour and door prize drawing.
Preregistration is required as there are only ten spots available for this event. Tickets are $10 for Historical Society members and $20 for non-members. Registration includes equipment rental, transportation to the launch site, a history program, and door prizes.
