Exhibits: “Stories in Stitches” and “Beneath Our Feet” at Red Wing Arts Association through October 1

Reflecting on themes of womanhood, “Stories in Stitches” opens September 1 with a public reception from 5-7 pm on Friday, September 8. Juried by Dan Wiemer and quilt artist, Cindy Thury Smith, this collection of 18 hand-stitched mini-quilts are mostly no greater than 24″ on any side.  The exhibit will also feature two panels from the upcoming “Quilters” musical presented by the AAUW-Red Wing at the historic Zumbrota State Theater in September, and a full-sized quilt from juror Cindy Thury Smith entitled “Words to Live By.” The exhibit will up through October 17.
