Workshop: The History of Hawaiian Swing with Kahulanui at Village Cooperative @ Village Cooperative | Red Wing | Minnesota | United States

Throughout Hawaii in the 1920s and 1930s, one could find orchestras playing Hawaiian Swing and the house would be jumping. Grammy nominated artists, Kahulanui, borrows from these influences, performing classic Hawaiian songs in a syncopated style that makes Hawaiian Swing vibrant and alive for today. Learn about the history, culture and role of Hawaiian Swing music in island traditions for generations; continue to play the island lifestyle today. All ages welcome.
