“With love to all.” That was how brothers Marland and Stanley Williams signed 89 letters to their family while serving in the U.S. Army in World War I. Marland’s granddaughter, Elizabeth Williams Gomoll has paired those letters with hundreds of photographs taken by Marland into a book that is a compelling first-person account of the brothers’ war-time experiences. Ms. Gomoll, a professional genealogist, will give guidance on how to research your own family history.
The book, With Love to All: The World War I Letters and Photographs of Minnesota Brothers Marland and Stanley Williams, will be available this summer for purchase.
