Bring the whole family to the Goodhue County History Center this June for Free Family Fun Day.
Explore musical ties to our local history through exhibits, music-themed art projects with ArtReach to create your own instrument and concert poster. Activities for all ages include hands on opportunities to work with Mike Arturi from the Universal Music Center using the rhythm instruments created with ArtReach.
1:00 & 2:00PM is family story time with Lois Burnes with a story related to music.
3:00PM: Join in a celebration of Americana Music with Jim Schrock. This performance is a first-hand experience of our rich musical heritage. Jim will entertain you, get you singing and clapping recalling songs sung around a campfire as children. Schrock has performed throughout North America and currently performs in several musical venues in the Twin Cities with groups as well as solo work.
There will be a musical family scavenger hunt. Once completed results can be turned into the front desk for a prize.
