Check out Free Family Fun Day at the Goodhue County History Center! From 12-3 PM on Saturday, December 2, visit the museum for our Christmas themed afternoon featuring crafts and activities.
The Goodhue County Historical Society invites families throughout the county to celebrate Christmas at the History Center. Families will participate in festive activities which will inform visitors about the origins of Christmas traditions. Your family can create tomte ornaments, decorate gingerbread men, meet Santa, and listen to Christmas music from the immigrant groups that have shaped Goodhue County. Christmas stories from around the world will be read at 1 PM and 2 PM so be sure to stick around all afternoon!
Our partners at Hispanic Outreach will invite you to participate in some Mexican Christmas traditions. For example, you can warm up with a cup of traditional hot chocolate. Then, at 2:30 PM we will break a star pinata and enjoy the candy that bursts from inside the star.
ArtReach will also join in the fun and invite you to create festive, Christmas art.
Free admission and activities begin at 12 PM. This event is made possible through the support of Xcel Energy.
