Children are capable of extraordinary things. There is no happiness gene, no success gene, and no “doer of extraordinary things” gene. The potential for happiness and greatness lies in all of them, and will mean different things to different kids. We can not change that they will face challenges along the way. What we can do is give them the skills so these challenges are never able to break them. We can build their resilience. Building small humans into healthy, thriving big ones is not about clearing adversity out of their way; it is about building resilience skills. Join us and the HOPE Coalition for a celebration of children on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 2. Together we will observe the flowers that bloomed from the Kids Count Community Bulb Planting Beautification Project that took place in October 2017.Everyone is invited to participate in hands-on activities which will celebrate the children in our community! You and your families can look forward to activities from a variety of groups from around Red Wing, MN. Grab a bite to eat from the Red Wing Masonic Lodge’s food truck and participate in these great activities with your family:
