Building Bridges for a Bold Dream
Hosted by the Red Wing Human Rights Commission, Pier 55 Red Wing Area Seniors, and the Goodhue County Historical Society
We invited you to join us in a celebration of diversity and outreach as we present, in conjunction with the General Mills Foundation, United Negro College Fund, TPT, and Interfaith Action of Greater St. Paul.
Dr. King had a bold dream. He built bridges to achieve justice through empathy, understanding, and actionable change. This breakfast in an opportunity to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy of service and become inspired to carry out his bold dream in Red Wing, MN.
Our celebration will include a breakfast, local speaker, performances by local choirs, and a live stream of the General Mills Foundation event broadcasted from Minneapolis. The broadcast will feature David Oyelowo, lead actor in Selma (2014), an Oscar-nominated film that tells the story of Dr. King’s role in the civil rights marches that took place in Selma, Alabama in 1965.
